BONDI BORN
While we are in the business of designing, manufacturing and distributing Australian swimwear and resort wear to the world, the supply chain and operation of our business is consciously managed to ensure it respects everyone involved in the process, including our workers, suppliers and customers, whilst doing everything possible to minimise the impact of our business on the environment.
We acknowledge that fashion is the second-most polluting industry in the world after mining and we consciously choose to play a role in addressing this.
Our business is currently undergoing B Corp Certification. Certifying as a B Corporation goes beyond product- or service-level certification. B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how our company’s operations and business model impacts its workers, community, environment, and customers. From our supply chain and input materials to our charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp Certification proves our business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance.
BONDI BORN focus on the following areas:
Fabric Quality: All fabrics used by BONDI BORN are also OEKO-TEX Certified and we are committed to sourcing fabrics from ethical and EDP certified mills in Italy and Japan with a focus on sustainably produced natural fibres like linen, cotton, lyocell and rayon
Timeless Design: Making the highest quality products that withstand the test of time is at the heart of our design philosophy. We believe it is better for the environment and our lives as human beings, to encourage women to build their wardrobes with better quality pieces in silhouettes that endure.
Conscious Packaging: All BONDI BORN packaging is consciously chosen to be plastic free and 100% recyclable or compostable, inclusive of swing tags, satchels, and hygiene labels.
Made in Australia by Women: Every BONDI BORN garment is made here in Sydney by businesses that we work side by side with, our swimwear maker and resort wear maker also are owned and operated almost exclusively by women.
Giving Back in partnership with i=Change: This enables us to give back with every sale. Each time someone makes a purchase from BONDI BORN, the customer selects a charity our donations go to after check-out that helps women around the world.

BAINA
BAINA towels are designed with intent and permanence in mind. Intended to be intimately woven into your daily ritual of bathing. Produced with respect and consideration to the environment. Made in Portugal from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton.
BAINA towels are designed with intent, to equally favour design and functionality. Finding the balance between a generously soft handle whilst carefully considering the weight in which the towel absorbs effectively and dries quickly after use.
Our towels are made from double-looped terry cloth in weights of 500gsm and 600gsm.
Our terry is double looped, constructed using two twisted cotton threads in each pile which allows for a more dense, upright loop that is not only soft to the touch but exceptionally absorbent, drawing in moisture to the base of the towel.
BAINA towels are manufactured in Portugal, a country renowned for its high-quality textiles and home to some of the most skilled and established towelling mills in the world.
The Portuguese mill is progressive in approach in their social accountability, environmental impact and technological innovation.
CERTIFICATIONS:
SMETA - certifying best practises in labour, health and safety, ethics and environmental impact
GOTS certification
Global Recycle Standard
Oeko-Tex Certification
Organic Content Standard Certification

BAINA’s mill partners are committed to reducing their ecological footprint and lowering emissions, while their fabrication development sees them exploring recycled yarns and eco-dying. Regularly upgrading technologies ensures energy conservation and cost reductions, resulting in improved wages for workers.
BAINA is a conscious business. From inception we have been acutely aware of the quantities we are producing. We’re committed to producing small quantities to meet the market demand without overproducing, only adding additional styles in limited production runs that complement our existing range. We are season-less with each style designed to be thoughtfully woven into the collection.
AAIZEL
Being a firm believer in the slow fashion movement; valuing quality and longevity over quantity and trends. Every collection heavily consists of carefully sourced fabrics ensuring that ethical practice is embraced within the local production process. All cutting is carefully monitored and managed in-house to minimize fabric wastage. We also partner with couriers that offer electronic paperless trade.
Lover of working with natural fibres, Aaizel works closely with a textiles agency where their fabrics are sourced predominantly from finely edited stock previously used by high end brands, where they are unable to repeat these fabrics after a season. All Aaizel leather is hand crafted from eco-friendly vegetable-tanned leather (chromium-free) which is also more durable and prestigious due to the cautious tanning processes with use of natural tannins. Every piece is made to order and cut carefully making use of the full hide.
Always being conscious and informed about labour conditions, wastage and water footprints in the fashion industry, it’s important to take price in heightening customer awareness of where all products come from, how they are made and the social and environmental impact of the sourcing and production.
Marrying motivation with movement, Aaizel is partnered with philanthropic, luxury retailer Olivela. With ambition to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world, 20% of sales are donated to charities the company is partnered with.
Aaizel is proudly made in Melbourne, Australia with love, care and passion to embrace and push sustainable fashion.

Our aim since the beginning has been to create jewellery that is everlasting - both in style and in quality. In this way our jewellery can be treasured for a lifetime and beyond, and we encourage mindful consumption with our customers.
Our design philosophy embraces both creativity and timeless quality, and we work hard to promote jewellery’s inherent qualities of longevity to maximise the life of our pieces. Our jewellery by its very nature is a circular product - it can be repaired and recycled into new pieces, and all our metal scrap from our workroom is recycled back into the system, thereby creating no waste.
Materials:
We are committed to ensuring all the materials we use meet our standards for environmental responsibility, fair work and human rights. We are working with our suppliers to determine the origin of the materials they supply us with, and their sourcing practices, so we can understand the impacts happening in our supply chain, and encourage more transparency in the industry. This is an ongoing project. In 2020 we are formalising our principles for transparency and responsible sourcing into our supplier contracts and aim to extend this down our supply chain.
Respect for our Planet:
Our workshop and head office is powered by renewable energy from a climate positive company. We are committed to reducing our carbon impact further and have begun the process to measure our carbon footprint and work towards our long term goal of becoming a carbon neutral brand.
We only use Forest Stewardship Certified (FSC) sustainably grown papers in all our look books, posters, boxes and tissue paper. We recycle everything including card and paper, and all soft plastics that come into our business, including courier bags, are either reused or recycled through a NZ company that turns them into new products thereby creating a circular solution.
We’ve been composting for over 5 years and we encourage you to do this at home, it’s a huge help to the planet to keep food waste out of landfills.
We also provide keep cups, and use refillable consumables to cut out single use items.
Respect for People:
Our goal is to make sure that all the people who contribute to our jewellery are paid fairly and treated with respect. To achieve this we are working in partnership with our suppliers to understand their social responsibility practices and how these are extended down their supply chains. A lot of the questions we are asking are new to them, so we are working to address these challenges together, firstly with a focus on transparency and communicating our standards for fair wages and work.
MINERALEIR
We are taking measures to build a conscious business that encourages better consumption and exercises environmentally mindful practise. Mineraleir is striving to meet sustainability goals, quality consistency and originality. The Mineraleir 2020 manifesto is as outlined:
Zero plastic
Increased recycled materials
Give back to local causes
By May 2020, we will be a zero plastic enterprise and now officially use only home compostable plastic across all levels of operations (from stone procurement, manufacturing, through to distribution, storage and so on). Our manufacturing facility has gone so far as to prohibit all single use plastic items such as drink bottles, cutlery, straws etc from entering the premises and promotes only the reusable and carbon off-setting.
50% of our gold is recycled material and we only source from ethical miners whose extraction methods / labour practices are regulated. In 2020 we intend to increase our recycled metal use and add a closed loop system in which old and new customers can offer unwanted jewellery for an assessed amount of store credit. Of course, samples and other pieces are repurposed for new designs with stones recut, reused and reloved.
We have a desire to give back to causes we are passionate about and help serve sustainability outside of our own business. Mineraleir is currently an ongoing supporter of the Wilderness Society, with further contributions to be incorporated and announced throughout the year.
RELEASED FROM LOVE
Released From Love embrace slow fashion practices, our jewellery is designed & made in Sydney Australia by a small group of goldsmiths and silversmiths using experimental practices & ancient methods that date back 6,000 years.
Conscious Creation:
Jewellery Materials: Our jewellery is made using recycled sterling silver. All metal off-cuts from our workshop are also recycled into new pieces to minimise waste.
Jewellery Manufacturing: Each piece is handmade in Australia by local artisans with expertise in traditional, fine, and contemporary jewellery making techniques. We also partner with responsible, local suppliers and use Australian-made materials where possible.
Jewellery Quality: Every piece is designed and handmade in Australia using a 12 step quality assurance process with hands-on oversight from founders Hannah and L.D. Both Hannah and L.D. studied traditional jewellery making methods at Australia's oldest jewellery design institution. These methods are kept alive in each piece.
Jewellery Repairs: RFL prioritises circulation by offering an in-house repairs service for accidentally damaged pieces by our customers.
Packaging:
Recyclable Packaging: is made from a mix of recycled and responsibly sourced materials. Jewellery boxes are made from FSC certified materials, meaning that the forest can better reproduce as no additional wood is cut down. This results in better protection of animal & plant life, as all foresters have certified training, safety equipment and a fair wage.
Jewellery Bags: are made from certified fair-trade cotton, which allows farmers to have improved standards of living, gender equality and access to environmental protection.
Goals for the future:
Continue to scale and employ a larger local team who are trained in the highest levels of jewellery making.
Reduce our carbon footprint.
Better incorporation of social activism and effective altruism into our business model.
ANNA QUAN
Anna Quan’s design aesthetic focuses on longevity and classic cuts by nature. Items are designed with quality in mind, to stand the test of time and remain wardrobe staples for years to come. Fabrics are selected with the environment in mind with more than 80% of each collection made from biodegradable natural fibers. Fabrics are carefully sourced and selected from BCI certified mills and other mills producing organic, recycled and sustainable fibers. Since 2020 Anna Quan has eliminated the use of single use poly bags in its bulk packaging and wholesale arm, favoring biodegradable bags that degrade into water, carbon dioxide and non toxic biomass.
Fabric Quality & Sourcing:
Anna Quan pieces are designed with longevity in mind - not trend driven fashion - particularly evident in our core line, that we sell season to season.
80 - 90% of collections are made from natural fibers or recycled natural fibers such as wool / cotton / viscose, avoiding the use of polyesters and synthetics as much as possible.
Sourcing BCI cotton and suppliers that are certified GOTs where possible.
Being introduced in June 2020, ‘Reduce and Reuse Fabrics’: an initiative to reduce wastage from bulk production, in which one off designs and exclusive online only styles will be produced using leftover fabrics from the bulk production process to eliminate wastage..
Conscious Packaging:
Biodegradable bags are used for all bulk packaging, which break down into non toxic substances, carbon dioxide biomass and water within 2 yrs.
Retail packaging consists of recyclable boxes, with an aim of moving towards biodegradable non plastic stickers and non toxic dyes.
Studio Policies:
Zero plastics policy in the studio work place- reusable bottles and cups.
Within the studio work place, we minimise all soft plastic usage. Any soft plastic used is separated out for specific soft plastic recycling.
Remaining general waste and recyclable material is carefully & appropriately disposed

NAGNATA
Nagnata was founded on the ethos of sustainably-minded design. Making new fashion is not sustainable. The fashion industry is the world’s second largest polluter, behind the oil industry. The environmental pollutants from manufacturing and the amount of discarded garments and textiles that end up as
landfill each year, make for one incredibly dirty and wasteful industry.
Nagnata is focused on pushing boundaries in the industry through textile innovation. By applying advanced technology to the properties of organic, natural and renewable fibres, we have created the technical knit fabrications synonymous with the brand today.
The sports industry is primarily focused on using synthetic fibres for performance garments. We continue to challenge this approach, exploring new ways to integrate sustainable fibres and further reduce synthetics in Nagnata garments. Further to this we are committed to minimising the overall waste of raw materials in fashion, opting to work primarily with engineered knits over cut and sew garments.
Nagnata sought to disrupt the active market through creating a uniform for movement, moving away from using synthetic fibres commonly found in performance wear. Skin is our largest organ and dermal absorption means that chemicals from our clothing can enter our system. This was the motivation for Nagnata to use the highest possible content of natural and organic fibres, to avoid skin contact with harmful pesticides and fertilisers used in conventional farming.
The washing of synthetic fabrics creates microfibre waste, which runs into our waterways and marine habitats. With nearly 35% of this coming from consumer households, Nagnata made the conscious decision to use the highest natural fibre content possible, without sacrificing quality.
As Nagnata continues to evolve, so do our objectives and commitments to sustainability. Moving towards using only RWS wool, fully traceable organic cotton, incorporating natural dyes, minimizing carbon emissions and implementing recycled yarns.
